April 2018 Free PS Plus Games Announced, Mad Max Leads the Pack

April’s PlayStation Plus freebies have been announced by Sony today over on the PlayStation Blog, and it’s a decent enough month… for some.

If you’re a PS4 player, you’re in for a couple of decent games. If you’re still rocking the PS3, you’re in for a bit of disappointment. If you’re a PS Vita player, well, Sony hasn’t cared about you for five years, so nothing should come as a surprise.

The headline act for April is the surprisingly decent Mad Max, while Trackmania Turbo is also a decent offering. If you’re a PSVR owner, this is actually a pretty sweet deal as Ubisoft implemented PSVR support into Trackmania Turbo some time after its release. The full list of games are down below:

  • Mad Max (PS4)
  • Trackmania Turbo (PS4)
  • In Space We Brawl (PS3)
  • Toy Home (PS3)
  • 99 VIDAS (PS4/PS3/PS Vita)
  • Q*Bert Rebooted (PS3/PS4/PS Vita)

So, a decent month on PS4 with four games, but it’s nowhere near as mighty as last month. Like, c’mon, how do you compete with Bloodborne and Ratchet & Clank? It’s worth noting that PS3 and PS Vita will not be receiving free PS Plus games from 2019, so don’t expect anything decent over the next 12 months on those platforms.

What do you think of April’s games? Will you be downloading any of them, all of them, or none of them? Let us know down in the comments section below.
