Fan pressure may have bagged Assassin’s Creed Origins a New Game+ mode as Ubisoft has admitted they’ve been worn down by public demand. And we expect it will only be a matter time considering how popular a second or third run is in today’s climate. Especially with such a gem as Origins.
Assassin’s Creed Origins has had quite a few updates since it’s launch a few months back; Ubisoft has been kind. But fans have continued to
nag request the addition of a New Game+ option, which has been missing in each and every patch notes. But it looks like their perseverance has paid off. During a Q&A session prior to the Christmas period, Ubisoft were asked the very question: “Will there be a New Game+ option added to Assassin’s Creed Origins?“, to which they replied, “We know that a large number of community members have requested a New Game+ feature. We are currently investigating the possibility of implementing this option in a future title update”.
Now, we know it is far from a definite ‘yes, it is happening’, but it’s not a NO! In our eyes there’s a pretty good chance it’s on the way. We can hope, at least.
We are yet to hear from the studio thus far this new year but the first expansion for Assassin’s Creed Origins is expected to drop in the next few weeks. An update normally precedes such an addition, which means the New Game+ could appear just before The Hidden Ones goes live.
Is Assassin’s Creed Origins still the crowning stone on Ubisoft’s pyramid? Would you step back into the footsteps of the Pharaohs in New Game+? Or in your eyes has Ubisoft overlooked something else? Comment below.
