A little earlier today we reported that The BioShock Collection had leaked onto 2K Games’ very own website, and with it came a bunch of images of the remastered versions of the games.

We’re so used to remasters these days that we kind of expect some of them to be a bit, well, crap. There have been a few stand-out examples of what a good remaster can be, but we’ve also seen some pretty lame efforts. Thankfully it looks like 2K Games has invested a great deal into making sure fans of the BioShock franchise won’t be disappointed when the game releases – it’s still waiting to be announced…

Below we’ve got a few images from the remaster collection and from the PC editions. On the left you’ll find the PC, on the right you’ll find the new versions coming to consoles.

We can see quite a few changes have been made to the little details in the game’s scenery; the banner hanging from the bust of the golden chap has now got a more worn-out appearance. The bust itself has also gone through some changes, though we’re not entirely sure it’s for the best.

Take a look at the images below and see what differences jump out at you.

Is this the remaster that’ll finally get universal approval, or will you still be shaking your head at the thought of playing last-gen games on your new console?
