Are you enjoying the Black Clover anime? Bandai Namco is bringing a Black Clover game to the the PS4 sometime in 2018, and…that is about all we actually know. Seriously, the teaser is 16 seconds long, and only about 11 seconds of game. We get it – teaser, but still.
Black Clover is a shonen anime that follows the unlikely adventures of Asta. In a world where everyone can use magic, he has none. Even with literally everything against him, he decides to join the Magic Knights in his quest to become the Wizard King. It is currently simulcast on Crunchyroll.
Outside Asta’s really annoying voice and the trademark anime character’s refusal to quit, the show is not bad. We (most likely only the author of this piece) have been following it, and Black Clover has a strong foundation on which to build an anime-style game. With Bandai Namco’s experience with other titles, you have a good idea of what to expect.
What we don’t know is when it will hit the PS4, but we expect to be holding a grimoire sometime in the fall.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
