Three of the biggest characters from the anime Bleach have been revealed as playable characters in Jump Force. Ichigo, Rukia, and Captain Aizen will be busting into the real world to fight. Although I can’t help but want a few more faces from Bleach to be added, the Soul Society will be well-represented by these three powerful soul reapers.
If you made it this far, I am still going to give a description of the characters, even though you probably already know who and what they are. Sosuke Aizen is one of the thirteen captains in the soul society. He seems calm and likable, but he is not exactly what he seems. Rukia Kuchiki is from a prominent family in the Soul Society, and she has a formidable ice attack. She is responsible for accidentally recruiting Ichigo Kurosaki to the ranks. He is a high schooler who possesses enough power to challenge the most powerful soul reapers alive.
Jump Force is a Shonen anime fan’s dream come true. It combines characters from One Piece, Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, and now Bleach into one game to save the world. Other franchises are set to be announced in the future, so keep an eye out for your favorite. I expect the developers to dig deep on this one.
To take a break from pure news for just a second, Bandai Namco has been making the Dragon Ball Z, Naruto games, and other anime games for a while. They even have a Black Clover game coming to the PS4 on September 14th. They are the only company who seems to consistently care about anime games at all. I don’t know how Jump Force will turn out, but, honestly, who else would or could make this game or be a better fit? This feels like the game Bandai Namco has been building up to for years. Now, back to the news.
We don’t have a release date for Jump Force yet, but it is due to hit in 2019. If we have to guess, it will either be around March or September, based on past releases. We look forward to seeing and telling you about any new characters to join the game’s roster, so you can start selecting your three member dream team.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
