The fascination with zombies seems about as easy to kill as zombies themselves, and we have another bloody take on the genre. Bloody Zombies is going to bring a 2D brawler inspired by the likes of Streets of Rage to the PS4 and PS VR. After the city inevitably falls to the zombie horde, you will play as one of four survivors, Teller, Rei, Mick, and Eddie.
You and up to three friends will take on the zombies online or in the much appreciated local co-op. The zombies will come in an assortment of deadly flavors with some using weapons or skills to make you join their ranks like a zealous cult or overly aggressive fitness club. (The difference between those last two can be tiny sometimes.)
The game will also support PS VR. When donning your helm of power, your view will be much wider than other players. You will be able to see secrets and unlocks more easily, look around the level, and still beat those undead monsters into a second afterlife.
Bloody Zombies is described as coming soon, so it might show up as one of June’s PS Plus games. It might also be out in the next two weeks. Who knows? All we can say for certain is that old school brawler fans may want to give this one a good look.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
