Well, there’s no denying it now; Call of Duty: WWII has been officially confirmed by Activision with the launch of the game’s countdown timer over on the official Call of Duty website.
The countdown timer is running until April 26th when Activision will reveal what Sledgehammer Games has been working on for the last couple of years.
Meanwhile, over on Twitter, Sledgehammer Games’ posted a short teaser video (no actual images from the game) of one of the studio heads talking up the new game. It’s mentioned during the short clip that Sledgehammer Games has been working for the last couple of years on the game and that they “can’t wait to show you what’s coming in November”.
Sledgehammer Games’ first Call of Duty title was the well-received Advanced Warfare which took players into the not-so-distant-future before Infinite Warfare obliterated any pretense of staying in the present. Call of Duty: WWII will take players back to the past, to a time when Nazis were running around Europe being a bunch of bastards and handsome moustaches weren’t stuck on the faces of dickster hipsters.
Naturally we’ll be covering the ever-loving poop out of Call of Duty: WWII, so stay tuned with Pure PlayStation for all the news and updates. How about checking out our dedicated Call of Duty: WWII News and Updates Facebook page so that we may stalk you further? Go on. You know you want it.
