It has been announced that Cities: Skylines is getting a complete edition, mere weeks since its launch. This edition is due to launch next month, and is scheduled to coincide with the release of a Season Pass and first DLC.
The first additional content pack is titled Snowfall, which will introduce a range of weather conditions thanks to a new weather system. These testing climates will place your city under a range of niche pressures. Think snow ploughs, central heating and trams. But this will not be the only add-on for the sim.
As detailed in the Season Pass information, a total of six DLC packs are in the pipeline. From their informative titles, they appear to widen the selection of buildings available, and throw a few spanners into the works. Paradox is even talking about blimps!
The six add-ons are called:
- Snowfall (full expansion)
- Natural Disasters (full expansion)
- Mass Transit (full expansion)
- High Tech Buildings (content creator pack)
- Art Deco (content creator pack)
- Relaxation Station (radio station DLC)
The Cities: Skylines Season Pass, Premium Edition and Snowfall will all be available to buy from November 14th. The Season Pass alone will be £29.99, whilst Premium Edition, which will include the base game, After Dark and Season Pass, will retail at £59.99. This bundle will get the DLCs as and when they go live.
