Cut the Titans Down to Size in Latest Attack on Titan 2 Trailer

A new trailer for Attack on Titan 2 dropped today, and it’s full of new gameplay. The first thing you will notice is that the 3D Maneuver Gear allows you to travel quickly through a level. You can also use it to whip you around points in the environment to position yourself for a good slice.

Those slices can take off arms and legs or instantly kill. The trailer shows different points on the titan for you or a buddy to attack and going full Tonya Harding on a leg can slow titans down, make them easier to capture for research, or expose them to a quick kill. Sneak attacks can also eliminate a titan if you are in its blind spot.

Just like the show, some of your team can transform into a titan for a more direct combat. Punches are great, but grabbing a titan by the throat and slamming them into the ground is even better. If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em, and beat ’em a lot.

A titan invasion takes a toll, and combat is very messy in more ways than one. Buildings are turned into rubble as a titan crashes into them. Even more messy is the amount of blood you see flow out of a titan at every cut.

There is more in the video describing items and showing some of the bizarre titans. If you love Attack on Titan, you need to give it a watch. They have captured the feel of the show and the intensity of the combat.

In addition to a battle trailer, pre-order details have also dropped today. If you pre-order the digital standard or digital deluxe versions of the game, you will receive some costumes for your characters and PlayStation avatars. To further entice you, anyone who digitally pre-orders within four weeks of the launch date will receive more costumes.

Attack on Titan 2 will allow you to create your own scout or pick from over 30 different characters when it hits shelves on March 20th.
