CD Projekt Red recently held a presentation geared towards investors, but it still held some information that us lowly gamers will find interesting.
For one, CD Projekt’s president Adam Kiciński confirmed during the presentation that Cyberpunk 2077 will feature a character creator. Nothing specific was mentioned, but you’ll be able to choose a class for your character, and perhaps choose different traits and appearances. It’s a big departure from CD Projekt’s The Witcher series and we’re wondering how it’ll play out. Maybe we’ll find out next year… Or perhaps sooner?
Kiciński also mentioned that the studio will be showing something “just before” E3 2018. It could be that CD Projekt Red will give the game a big showing during Microsoft’s E3 presser, or it could be that the studio will hold its own little event before E3 2018.
And for fans of battle royale multiplayer… Cyberpunk 2077 could end up with such a mode. While the game is being touted as a big, single player game, Kiciński did state that multiplayer is being considered and that even a PUBG style mode could make its way into the game. However, Kiciński was quick to point out that there’s nothing specific to talk about at this time. Fair enough.
There’s no release date for Cyberpunk 2077 as of yet, but CD Projekt Red has been busy; the company recently bought up another game studio to help work on the game. It’s gonna be mega, isn’t it?
What do you make of this? Would you like to see CD Projekt Red take on multiplayer? Is character creation something you want from a CDPR game? We await your comments down below.
