Dark Souls is known to be one of the biggest ‘git gud or go home’ titles to have ever hit our screens. It has built a legion of fans over the years until the third installment was deemed the series’ end. But now you can now go back to where it all started and die over and over, over again in Dark Souls Remastered, which is slated for release on the PlayStation 4 this May 25th.
The news is hardly surprising as the first is considered to be the best title of the series, with the latter two losing some of its charm. But we will still light a bonfire in celebration and dance around it into the night because we love getting our asses whooped by the creeping nasties and dying over and over again. Let’s be honest, who doesn’t?
For those of you who are worried about how it will run, because it is old, respect your elders and have no worries because Bandai Namco has also confirmed that Dark Souls Remastered will run at 60fps on both the standard and Pro PlayStation 4. It will be upscaled to the glorious resolution that is 1080p, and if you’re the proud owner of the Pro you can look forward to 4K visuals. Death has never looked this good!
Have you been crying ever since Dark Souls III? Did your tears douse each bonfire one by one? Are they now tears of joy? Tell us about your playstyle in the comments section below.
