While Wolvenstien put first-person-shooters on the map the original Doom made sure they stayed there. Doom captured the hearts of gamers worldwide, while at the same time scaring the living bejesus out of them. ID Software’s next entry in the long running series finally has a release date: the 13th of May , 2016.
However, sometimes the standard edition of the game just isn’t enough. Well if that’s the case for you, with Doom, ID has you covered with the announcement of the Doom: Collector’s Edition. What’s in the Collector’s Edition? Well a 12″ Revenant statue (nothing to do with the movie, unfortunately), which should have the ladies lining up for a look. If a simple statue doesn’t do it for you then maybe the light up base ‘with internal slow-spinning turbine’ that the statue stands on will. The Collector’s Edition also comes with a metal case and will set you back $120.
Lastly, we’ve also put the new campaign gameplay trailer down below. Enjoy it and remember Pure PlayStation for everything PlayStation.
Conor is Pure PlayStation’s resident Irishman. Naturally that means he’s constantly slurring his words and turning up stinking of Guiness with a potato in his pocket. It’s not all bad though, because Conor is also a PlayStation nut. When he’s not doing his best Father Jack impression (Father Ted, watch it) he’s got a DualShock 4 in his hand and a Vita in the other. Yeah, we don’t know how he manages it either.
