I remember writing – with a single, manly tear in my eye – that Media Molecule’s Dreams would not ship with PSVR support, but would instead add support for the headset after the game’s release. This was from the developer’s mouth, too, so there was no reason to doubt it.
However, after a few previews for Dreams got release over the weekend, details were spilled on the PSVR mode, namely the date of inclusion. Instead of being a post-release update, Dreams will now ship with PSVR support from day one. So if you want to get into Dreams with your PSVR headset, you should be able to do so from the game’s release date. Oh, and there’s still no release date. That being said, I don’t think we’ll be waiting too long to hear about Dreams’ release date. If previews are already being written, it means the game is in a nearly finished state. Maybe this’ll be something to look out for on Sony’s E3 stage next month.
