E3 2016: Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Announced – Playable Demo Available Now

One of yesterday’s biggest E3 surprises, from the PlayStation conference, was the reveal of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. While this will be a normal Resident Evil game playable on most major platforms it will also be fully playable with PS VR – which sounds absolutely terrifying. You can count us out of any horror VR games. We just want happy VR experiences.

Joking aside, the trailer looks pretty cool and the game is launching an the 24th of January, 2017. The series seems to be making a u-turn back towards its survival horror roots. More recent entries in the series were action orientated but this one seems to be focusing more on the horror. The best part is you don’t have to wait long to play it. In fact you can play the first hour right now through a free demo on the PS Store. The demo is called ‘Resident Evil 7 Teaser: Beginning Hour’ and it will take up 2.96GB of your PS4’s hard drive.

You can check out the new trailer just below and let us know what you think down in the comments.

Conor is Pure PlayStation’s resident Irishman. Naturally that means he’s constantly slurring his words and turning up stinking of Guiness with a potato in his pocket. It’s not all bad though, because Conor is also a PlayStation nut. When he’s not doing his best Father Jack impression (Father Ted, watch it) he’s got a DualShock 4 in his hand and a Vita in the other. Yeah, we don’t know how he manages it either.
