EA Access is a great subscription. It really is and it’s only getting better with the ever-expanding library of games. Yet it’s still not available on PS4. Weird, no? That may be about to change, though, as EA has hinted that the service will be coming to new platforms in the near future.
Speaking on EA’s quarterly investor relations call, EA chief Andrew Wilson said, “you should expect us to continue driving this model to more platforms going forward.” So, erm, yeah. PS4, then.
In all honesty, there’s not many other places EA can peddle its wares. So far the publishers “unprecedented” support for the Nintendo Switch amounts to one game, and we don’t think EA’s smartphone games really work with the subscription model. We’ll have to wait and see, of course, but we can see this one being announced during this year’s PlayStation Experience. Maybe with a free trial chucked in for PS Plus members. Why not, eh?
Would you be happy to see EA Access on PS4, or did you swallow Sony’s “it’s not good value” B.S?
