DICE’s upcoming Star Wars Battlefront 2 is still a couple of weeks away from releasing, yet EA is already talking about when it will be discounting the game.
Speaking on EA’s recent earnings call, Blake Jorgensen was quite open when asked about Battlefront 2, saying:
We will most likely discount the game like we did last time around the movie launch, and maybe you’ll even see some selective discounts around the holidays, either Thanksgiving or Christmas. That’s the way the games business always has worked. And so if you see the title on discount, don’t read anything into that other than the fact that that’s the way you sell games in the holidays.
The latest Star Wars movie, The Last Jedi, releases on December 15th, 2017. Going off of what EA has said, it looks like you’ll be able to save a few quid by waiting a month and getting the game on a discount. That being said, we can’t see it being massively reduced though we imagine it’ll get a decent spotlight on the PSN, not unlike the first game’s Christmas discount.
Will you be waiting for the discount, or have you already dropped your money on a pre-order? Force a comment down below.
Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella.
