We love our games from Japan, and now we can love a pre-order for a game too. The director of Nier: Automata, Yoko Taro, and the game designer, Taura Takahisa, made a short video to show you the pre-order bonus for the game. In his Emil helmet and scaft, Taro has Takahisa model the included t-shirt, and then things go full bonkers.
After introducing the t-shirt, Taro begins to tickle Takahisa until he is out of the camera frame, and then he is seen rolling on the floor yelling, “Nier: Automata T-Shirt!” repeatedly, finally ending with, “S*** Square Enix”. Taro-san, if you are hiring, we are looking for a job with tickles and free t-shirt benefits. Email us.
Nier: Automata releases March 7th, and the game will now have to live up to the high entertainment standard set in the pre-order video. Good luck with that, Platinum Games.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
