Friday The 13th The Game Release Date Announced

Camp counselors and promiscuous teenagers beware, because the original hockey mask wearing slasher is back, but this time he’ll be on your video game console instead of your movie theater screen.  Gun Media and IllFonic announced today that Friday The 13th The Game will release May 26, 2017 for PS4, Xbox One, and Steam at $40 a download.

According to Friday the 13th the Game’s website, “The game is a third-person horror, survival game where players take on the role of a teen counselor, or for the first time ever, Jason Voorhees.  You and six other unlucky souls will do everything possible to escape and survive while the most well-known killer in the world tracks you down and brutally slaughters you.”

Camp Crystal Lake has been recreated digitally for the game and the aesthetic seen in the trailer is what the game uses according to the game’s website. This game seems like a good nostalgia trip for those who grew up watching slasher movies in the 80’s and 90’s.

Merle has been a gamer since birth and even attempted to learn how to create them once, but it lead to disastrous effects. Now–for the sake of the world–he merely plays them.
