Farm sims have a special place in the stony hearts of some of the writers here at Pure PlayStation. That’s why the new trailer for Farming Simulator 19 will receive a bit of scrutiny, and likely, appreciation. It’s the first gameplay video for the revamped series, and it starts with growing a plant used everywhere – cotton. The ground is tilled, crops are fertilized, and the harvest is loaded. It’s a nice overview of what to expect.
However, I think the machines are the real draw of the trailer. Farming Simulator 19 is using real, licensed machines from John Deere, New Holland, Case, Massey Ferguson, and Stara. They are even using licensed chainsaws from Stihl and Husqvarna. The final game will have over 300 real examples of actual equipment for you to use. It adds to the realism that players can expect from the game.
Along with crops, Farming Simulator 19 will have other ways to live by the sweat of your brow including working with cows, pigs, sheep, and chickens. Horses have been added to potential livestock, and you can ride them around your farm. (If I can make a suggestion, a racetrack would be some nice DLC.)
Farming Simulator 19 will be available November 20th.
Press Release from Focus Home Interactive
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
