Ubisoft has pushed out the latest update for Ghost Recon Wildlands – and it’s a big one.
For starters, there’s a whole new crossover operation with Rainbow Six Siege’s Twitch. You’ll be tasked with helping Twitch locate and rescue an operative missing in action. Hopefully it’s a little meatier than the disappointing Splinter Cell operation we got a few weeks back.
The new update also brings true solo play – you’ll be able to ditch the A.I team mates and go it alone. There’s also the option for a permadeath playthrough – if you die, it’s game over. In the new Ghost Mode, the realism is ramped up. You’ll have to watch out for when you reload your weapons – if there are still bullets in the magazine, you’ll lose them if you reload halfway through a mag. Plus, you’ll only be able to equip one primary weapon, though you can switch them out, but only at ammo supply crates.
There’s a lot more in the update that can be found over on the official Ghost Recon website where Ubisoft has posted a detailed article on the most recent changes to Ghost Recon Wildlands.
It’s worth noting, however, that Pass holders get access to the new content immediately, but those who don’t have the Year 2 pass will have to wait until the end of the month to give the new Ghost Mode a run.
