Fans of GTA V have been crying out to Rockstar for some single-player download content since the game released on PS3/Xbox 360 a few years ago. We thought that with the remaster for the PS4, Xbox One and PC edition, we’d maybe get some of the high quality DLC that we’ve come to expect from the famed developer.
Alas, it’s not the case, or at least it isn’t yet. There’s still a chance that Rockstar is working on something but with each passing day that nothing gets announced, we lose a little bit more hope. Christ, we’re practically running on empty. It makes it all the more disheartening, then, to find that there was possibly a big expansion for the critically acclaimed open-world murder-sim.
The nosey buggers on the GTA forums found the portfolio page of an artist that works at Rockstar, and has done since 2011. Within his page of “look at what I made!” there’s a few hints that Rockstar was indeed working on something for GTA V, and that it was possibly a Liberty City expansion. A few images show areas from Liberty City that had been remade to look as if they fit in with the aesthetic of GTA V’s art style. We can’t know for sure if it was to be a full-on single-player expansion, or simply just an arena for players to throw those ridiculous Shark Cards at one another. Ah well, we can still hope for something. Right?
