In an age of digital only releases, it’s nice to see some non-AAA games receiving a physical release. Ninja Theory’s Hellblade is the latest game to jump on board the quickly disappearing train to retail. The game will be published by 505 Games, and it will be priced at $29.99/£24.99, the same as the digital release price.
Hellblade took us into the mind of Senua, a Celtic warrior on a quest. It was unique in that it was made in conjunction with people who understand mental illness. It chose to reflect that aspect in a more realistic way inside the “Indie AAA” space.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will be available at retail on December 4th.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
