We have told you before, but we love cool trailers. Forget what you think about the game. A great trailer can be great on its own, even the game is not your cup of tea.
With that in mind, we bring you the latest CODE VEIN trailer, and it qualifies under our very strict (and very proprietary) definition of a cool trailer. From letting the player know that you were killed and have returned (probably to only be killed and returned again), to the action and character designs, this game has some great visuals.
The trailer lets you know that the anime studio Ufotable handled the animation. Those of you with a sharp eye will remember its work from Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works. It also created all the animation for the anime and game versions of God Eater. The animators at Ufotable know their way around a fight scene.
The band Vamps created the song “Underworld” for CODE VEIN. It is the opening song in the game, and its heavy rock beat should provide a good background for drinking blood, coming back from the dead, and fighting with giant swords. The trailer features it prominently, so you can give it a listen or three.
Check out the trailer and let us know if it meets your “cool trailer” standards, and be sure to direct us to any others we may have missed.
Bandai Namco Press Release
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
