In South Park: The Fractured But Whole, the new kid’s farts are weapons, and Ubisoft is throwing a contest to put your butt trumpet performance in the game. The video for the contest is a spoof on any number of other talent shows that put a “normal person” performer in front of a panel of judges.
If you go to iamthefart.com, you can also enter the contest. Using your computer or phone, record your best cheek squeak and upload it to the site. The community will pick the top entrants, and one person will be picked to go to Ubisoft San Francisco to record it for the game. The judges will be Mr. Methane (from the video), someone from South Park Digital Studios, and people from Ubisoft San Francisco.
The site already has plenty of submitted videos, and you only have until October 16th to drop your best o-ring oboe to be eligible to win. The winner will be announced on Ubisoft’s Facebook page on October 23rd, so you only have a week to sweat after the end. Either way, we hear San Francisco is nice place to visit, and the barrier of entry is incredibly low.
We are not really clear how the sound will make it into a game that is releasing on October 17th, but this may be a DLC announcement of some kind.
Ubisoft Press Release
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
