Well, we didn’t really see this one coming, though rumours and trophy lists did seem to confirm it, but Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and its follow-up are being re-released on PS4 this coming July 26th.
The official announcement was made over the weekend that Activision would be re-releasing the decade-old brawler and its not-so-good sequel. According to the announcement, the games will have some graphical touch ups, user interface improvements and general performance enhancements to ensure the games run smoothly on the next-gen console. You can also expect the usual PS4 features such as Remote Play, screenshots, video recording and live-streaming.
As far as we know, there weren’t all that many people asking for these games to be remastered, but it’s better to have them available than not, right? Now if Activision would just get a move on and bring X-Men Legends back from the grave, we’d all sleep a little less because it’s a damn good game. Get on it, Activision, we need it.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 will be available on PS4 from July 26th. You’ll be able to purchase them separately for $39.99, or as a bundle for $59.99. Bit much, innit? No word on UK/EU pricing yet, though we’ll update here when we know more.
