On Valentines Day next year, some of you will be spending time with your special someone at a candlelit dinner, and some of you may be enjoying your new VR device. We will be delving into the depths of the darkest dungeons with our new friends from Shujin High School in Persona 5.
After Persona 4’s high bar, the new vocal cast has a pretty strong lead to follow. The main cast includes the following members:
- Xander Mobus as the Protagonist
- Cassandra Morris as Morgana
- Max Mittelman as Ryuji Sakamoto
- Erika Harlacher as Ann Takamaki
- Matt Mercer as Yusuke Kitagawa
- Cherami Leigh as Makoto Niijima
- Erica Lindbeck as Futaba Sakura
- Xanthe Huynh as Haru Okumura
- Robbie Daymond as Goro Akechi
If you are new to the Persona series, I am glad to see you have awoken from your coma. (You should probably try to shake hands with people to know if you can see the future.) The Persona games are very stylish JRPGs that focus on a group of friends as they go through a year at a Japanese high school. They have jobs, build relationships, go to school, and they discover that each of them embodies powerful entities named Persona that they use to fight monsters. That seems like the typical high school experience to me.
Atlus are some of the best at creating great special editions for their releases, and Persona 5 is no exception. The “Take Your Heart” Premium Edition features the game in a SteelBook case, a 4 inch Morgana Plush, selections from the soundtrack in a CD wallet, a 64-page art book, and a school bag modeled after traditional Japanese school bags all contained in a collector’s box. If you only want the game, early editions can be purchased in the same SteelBook case.
In order for you to get to the know the new voice actors and characters, Atlus has released two new videos. The first video introduces us to the Protagonist, and the second video goes behind the scenes for a short interview with Xander Mobus, the voice actor for the Protagonist.
Let us know in the comments what your Persona would be and its special attack. Ours would be named Rickles, and our special attack would be to fling cynical and offensive verbal barbs at anyone within shouting distance.
