Minecraft hasn’t had as many spin-offs as we may have expected; Mojang are obviously very adept at keeping their base audience
hooked entertained and drawing in new crowds. But the studio have now announced a brand new title based on their smash hit blockbuster, only this one takes a more traditional approach to gameplay.
Minecraft: Dungeons will be a top down dungeon crawler, featuring all your favourite critters from its namesake. The world will, obviously, be constructed from those infamous blocks and can be tackled either in a solo effort or team attack with up to three others. But unfortunately there’s a catch.
So far the game has only been announced for PC and no suggestion has been made as to whether it will be making the leap on to consoles. It is due out next year so there’s still plenty of time for an update. But in the meantime we’ll just have to keep our ears open and you’ll have to keep your eyes peeled on Pure PlayStation.
Are you a Minecraft addict, glad to see the game taking a more story based approach? Or are you already at loggerheads with your offspring over its dubious educational benefit, and wish it would demolish itself once and for all? Build a comment in the box below.
