Its official, the Uncharted series is back…but without Nathan Drake. Naughty Dog announced today, via the PlayStation Blog, that Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will release on PS4 August 22, 2017 in North America. The game will cost 39.99 USD and 49.99 CAD.
The announcement comes with other packed in goodies as well. According to Shaun Escayg, Creative Director at Naughty Dog, “Anyone that pre-orders The Lost Legacy at participating retailers will receive a free digital copy of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy for PS4 when it launches on August 22,” and “for those who pre-order from PS Store, you’ll also get an Uncharted: The Lost Legacy PS4 theme designed by Truant Pixel.”
That means anyone who plans out their pre-order can get a remastered version of the original Jak and Daxter PS2 game as well as a theme for free and a free game, even if it is a remaster of an older game, is always worth the money.
Additionally, “If you picked up the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Digital Deluxe Edition, Explorer’s Pack, or the Triple Pack, you’ll get Uncharted: The Lost Legacy as a digital download at launch,” but “owners of these products are not eligible for any pre-order bonuses.”
Along with this announcement, Naughty Dog released a scene from the upcoming game. The game follows Chloe Frazer, from Uncharted 2, as she and Nadine Ross, from Uncharted 4, seek out the Tusk of Ganesh. According to the post the game will offer all the Uncharted goodness that fans can take.
