What makes Nidhogg 2 violent? Well you control anthropomorphic beings who like to kill each other through dueling, sword-swinging, axe-throwing, face-stomping, and more. For example, you can chuck a knife into opponent’s private parts and smash their faces into juicy goop. The visuals are vastly overhauled compared to the first game’s pixelated graphics and the sequel will come with more than ten levels, including multiplayer (local/online) and tournament mode. There will also be a single-player where you challenge the AI in normal and special rounds.
There’s a trailer above for your viewing pleasure but those in San Francisco will be able to experience the game early. During the Day of Devs on Nov 5th, go to booth #30 and play an all new level in Nidhogg 2. The game will also be displayed on the main stage from 6-6:30pm. Everyone on the PS4 will be able to get their hands on it sometime in 2017, but unfortunately there’s no concrete date yet.
