Nioh’s first updates and DLC have been announced during a live stream event. And surprisingly against the industry norm, Team Ninja is giving us new, high-difficulty missions free of charge. Yes, you read that right. Nada, zilch, nout. Woohoo!
We have to admit we love free stuff, but most of the time it’s things you don’t really want (like that itchy jumper, hand knitted by your nan). But who doesn’t want extra missions, even if they’re extra hard and prone to making us say naughty words? That’s nothing a bigger swear jar can’t solve.
So, in late March Nioh will get ten types of high-difficulty missions. Then, in Late April, PVP will also be available. The first DLC will launch (around?) the same time as the multiplayer update.
‘Dragon of Tohoku’ DLC will add:
- New weapon types
- New scenarios
- New characters
- New guardian spirits
- New yokai
- New stages
The second DLC has been named ‘Japan’s Best Warrior’ and the third ‘Peaceful and Tranquil’. It’s worth pointing out that the DLCs are paid for, it’s only the March and April updates that are free.
Nioh is available now on PS4.
