Roll7 hit the top with its release of the frustratingly addictive OlliOlli a few years back. The studio followed it up with the equally simple-yet-addictive OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood.
Now the studio is moving onto something a little bit different. 505 Games announced today with a press release that it’s partnering with Roll7 to bring a new multiplayer-focused game to PS4 and other consoles next year.
505 Games president Ian Howe seems pleased with the pairing:
“We have been impressed with Roll7’s work for a long time and have admired what they’ve accomplished under their own steam. We jumped at the chance to support them when they were looking to take the next step up with their most ambitious project to date.”
And Roll7’s director, Simon Bennett, also seems to be pretty chuffed with what’s going on with the studio:
“We have been impressed with 505’s approach to signing our next IP, they have been flexible, open and professional throughout the process. Our newly expanded team are excited and raring to move into full production in the next couple of months.”
There’s nothing else to note at the time of writing, though considering the game hasn’t even gone into full production yet, that’s hardly surprising.
Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella.
