Play The Elder Scrolls Online in a Free Trial Starting Nov. 30th

As part of its #10MillionStories celebration, The Elder Scrolls Online is joining Steep and Destiny 2 in this week’s list of betas and free trials. Starting on November 30th, you can download the game and play for a whole week. As long as you have 80GB of free space, you can roam around Tamriel and experience everything in the world. Just for trying it, they give new accounts 500 crowns to spend at the store.

While you are creating your legend, be sure to participate in the sweepstakes. Use the Dungeon Finder to complete a random dungeon, and enter to win a Mysterious Reward Box. Most will have your normal in-game items such as potions, pets, costumes, or mounts. One lucky person will open a box with 20 homes or 20 mounts. You can earn one box a day, and everyone can use an extra potion or three.

It’s an MMO, so you will need a PS Plus account to play. If you participated in previous trials, you can pick up right where you left off last time. As usual, any progress you make will carry over to the full game if you choose to buy it. The game is already discounted by 50%, so we would be surprised if it goes any lower this week.

Check out the trailer, and let us know in the comments if you will be spending your weekend as a Khajiit or Altmer. Probably Khajiit. Who doesn’t want to be a giant cat person?

Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
