We had a questionable story a few days ago purporting to leak February’s PS Plus games. As we believed, it had all the hallmarks of fake news. The real games of February have been announced, and they are very different.
Knack is finally getting the recognition that it may have been denied when released. Knack was directed by Mark Cerny, the man who seemed to put PlayStation back on the road to success. It was a launch title and used to promote Sony’s newest wonderbox back in 2013.
It was not a celebrated title at release, but it has its fans, including some of us here. It’s a family game that lets you grow or shrink to stop a goblin army and solve puzzles. Since the sequel is out, you can always jump into it if you love the first one.
Rime is another puzzler headed to your hard drive in February. It puts you in the sandals of a young boy on a mysterious island. You will have to explore an island and climb a tower, and the art style is easy on the eyes.
We have the remaining games listed, and don’t forget to grab Starblood Arena for the PS VR. It’s free until March 6th.
- Spelunker HD, PS3
- Mugen Souls Z, PS3
- Exiles End, PS Vita
- Grand Kingdom, PS Vita (Also available on PS4)
Now that we know the real games, is February a good month or just average for you? Express your thoughts on this month’s PS Plus selections in the comments.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
