As we mentioned yesterday, The Elder Scrolls Online will have a free trial week starting today, and, as we predicted, there is a big sale on the game. To be fair, anyone could have made that logical assumption, but we prefer to think of ourselves as top notch analysts anyway. We will try not to let the mastery of the obvious go to our heads.
The discount applies to the three versions of the game and multiple packs of crowns that can be used at the store. The base game will cost you $9.89. If you want the Gold Edition containing all four DLC packs, the price of entry rises to $29.99. For $49.99, you will receive the Gold Edition Premium Bundle that nets you the game, all DLC, and 5,500 crowns.
Outside a handful of other games, Star Wars Battlefront is the only other big sale this week. You can blast wookies with the regular version of the game for $9.99, or you can pay $14.99 for the game and some extra gun skins and emotes in the Deluxe Edition. Neither version is bundled with the DLC.
Unless you were wanting one of those two games, this is another week of slim pickings for PSN sales. If you are like us, you can play one of the games you bought, but it is still trapped in its shrink wrap. Your backlog and wallet will thank you.
Did we miss something this week that we should be buying? Do you have the perfect game to keep us busy until next week’s sale? Let us know in the comments which game you will be playing until next week’s sale.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
