This week Sony has chosen to tantalize you with two very different sales. The first is for Call of Duty, and there is a cornucopia of versions for all your devices. For the PS4, you can pick up the most recent entry, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, for $39.59. For the PS3, you can pick up Black Ops I, II, or III for less than $20 each. If you like shooters on the Vita (there has to be one person, right?), you can pick up Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified for $9.59. Basically, all the games back to Modern Warfare are discounted this week.
The second sale is mostly a hodgepodge of titles, but there is a strong emphasis on Atlus RPGs, even verging into the more obscure titles from the PS1. With Persona on the horizon, we would definitely recommend trying Persona 3 and Persona 4. You will have to plug in your PS3 to play them, but these games deserve your attention at $4.99 each. If you have a VITA and like Persona games, you MUST try Persona 4 Golden if you did not play it previously. The game is astoundingly good, and it provides one of the best experiences on the Vita.
The sale also includes titles in the Shin Megami Tensei series, which is like Persona, but does not include the social features. The games are typically dark and feature the same wonderful art direction. They are from the PS2 era, so keep that in mind if graphics are your main concern.
Check out the full list of titles from the sale here. Let us know in the comments if there is something we should be playing this week.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
