Pure PlayStation Plays: Week 43

Celebrate good times, come on!

The party’s in full swing here at Pure PlayStation. In the same day that Nioh has sold a million copies, we’ve officially reached 1,000,000 hits. So from everyone here we’d like to say a big THANK YOU to all our readers. You’re the reason we continue thrashing the keyboard and fishing out the juiciest news around. And you’re the reason we’ll keep thrashing the keyboard and fishing out the juiciest news around.

We’d also like to introduce you to our new kid on the block, Mr Merle Alix. We look forward to working with him as we forge ahead in search of 2 million hits and more.

Now our very own Jason Frye is currently enduring a technical blackout. We’re sending medicine to treat the withdrawal symptoms but we must warn you, it’s a serious condition. We keep our fingers crossed he pulls through.

In the meantime you will have to make do with the rest of us (we heard those groans). Here are our weekend plans. Feel free to share yours below.

Chris Harding

This weekend will see my playing a couple of games for reviews (no spoilers here!) as well as going back into my PSVR headset. I’ve neglected the thing lately, so it’s about time I got back behind the wheel of DriveClub VR, as well as finishing off some other bits and bobs.

Kyle Durant

The Disc Jam beta got extended through the weekend so I’ll be on that like white on rice. Additionally, I’ll be playing and reviewing Night in the Woods. Looks very interesting.

Merle Alix

This weekend I’ll be jumping into a narrative classic…Bioshock. I recently purchased Bioshock the Collection and I’m curious if the narrative holds up when there isn’t a three year gap of time in between each release.

Hannah Ellis

Unfortunately I’ve got a million and one things that need typing up, few of which are in any way related to gaming. But with bills to pay, what is a girl to do? I’m sure I’ll find a few spare minutes for a bit of Trackmania Turbo. That game is a godsend when you’re watching the clock.

Dom O’Leary

I’m getting my final hours in before reviewing Torment: Tides of Numenera, it’s been a long journey but I’ll finally be shoving my opinion at you come Monday. Apart from that, the goofy gore of this month’s PS Plus game Not A Hero has captured my interest so a few quick murder sprees might not be out of the question.

Living life one Batmobile chase at a time. When she’s not writing about video games, she’s writing terrible jokes that even a Christmas cracker would be embarrassed to share.
