Hello, and welcome to another edition of Pure PlayStation Plays. Basically, we’re going to spend our weekends with our faces glued to screens, playing some (hopefully) great games. So, head down below, check out what we’re up to and maybe get a hint on the reviews we’ve got coming up in the near future. After all that you can head down even further to the comments and let us know what games you’re going to be playing this weekend… or just mock some of our more questionable choices.
This weekend I’m going to be continuing to enjoy Rocket League’s latest game mode ‘Dropshot’, if you’re yet to give it a bash then you absolutely need to go try it out right now. I’ve so far deduced, however, that a vast majority of the time, the team that scores first, takes the whole game. Maybe I’ll get round to my placement games for the new season as well… maybe. On top of this, I’ll be getting into some ‘Old Time Hockey’ which you can expect a review on the coming Monday, ready for it’s Tuesday (28th) release. If I’ve got some time to spare after all of that, I believe I have some university assignments due, so far the ‘close my eyes and pretend they’re not real’ tactic has been going swimmingly.
I am trying to resist the urge to buy something new and shiny, so I will be returning to the backlog this weekend to avoid the siren song of Torment, Horizon, and the delightfully weird animations in Mass Effect. I had to put Batman down for a review, but I am hoping to make some time for a little Arkham action this weekend.
Yooka-Laylee will be taking over my Saturday and Sunday. If I can drag myself away from it, I’ll be playing various bits and bobs for reviews for the site.
I’ll be bringing the thoughts on Toukiden 2 this weekend, so watch out for that. Similar to last week I’ll also be looting some rascals in loot rascals. I made the mistake of letting my lovely ladygirl play Final Fantasy XV though, so even getting near the PS4 now involves a fight!
I am going to invest a few more hours into The Witcher 3, though I will still only be at the tip of the tip of the tip of the iceberg (lettuce). Ratchet and Clank might also make an appearance. Or three.
I’ll be snowed in all weekend with Kona–review forthcoming. If I have any time left over I will be diving into Hyrule with LOZ Breath of the Wild on my brand new Switch.
I’m going to let Salt and Sanctuary slap me around until I can’t take it anymore. Then I’ll play something easy to rebuild my wrecked confidence.
