Another week down, PlayStation-ers. Give yourselves a round of applause or a pat on the back for surviving. By heck, give yourselves a round of applause and a pat on the back; you deserve it.
And what a week it has been. We’ve found out that L.A Noire is getting a remastered re-release, Dead Rising 4 is finally making the jump on to PlayStation 4, Super Meat Boy is getting a sequel, and Gearbox has announced they are hard at work on Borderlands 3. Kind of.
Mr Durant was more Mr ‘Tee’ with his Everybody’s Golf review, Sir Peterson scratched his puzzle itch in Obduction, and Don Harding put on his bad boy pants and rained hell down on earth in X-Morph Defense.
What goodies will next week bring us? Stay tuned with Pure PlayStation to find out. But in the meantime we have two days free from the shackles of our 9-5 to enjoy as we see fit. And enjoy it we will!
Here’s what we’re up to, our loyal stalkers, what about you?
This weekend I’m role-playing as Father to Charlie on the Saturday, but once he’s in the kingdom of sleep I’ll be hitting the PS4. Hard. I’ve neglected the console recently due to the newness of my Nintendo Switch, but I think I’ll finally get stuck into Uncharted: Lost Legacy, as well as some Radial-G: Racing Revolved. If time allows, I’m going to step back in time and live out my wild fantasies of being a 90’s gangsta in GTA San Andreas on PS4 via the PS3 emulation. It’s not perfect, but I’ve not really got much choice if I want to play the game. I refuse to play it on my phone…
Destiny 2 and Sparc will occupy every moment of game time I have this weekend. Everybody’s Golf will have to wait its turn
I will be working on a review this weekend and probably helping someone move. While I am resting my sore back, I will try to keep chipping away at the backlog with some Horizon Zero Dawn. I may also smuggle a mission or two in Elite Dangerous just to keep my landing skills…less dull.
After only a few hours destiny 2 already has its claws in me and I can’t see my weekend being spent doing much else bar bodily functions to keep me going.
With a backlog to work through, it is likely to be a pick and mix for me this weekend. Despite having no clue about what’s going on, Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain is scratching my Sgt Major itch. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and Black Flag are distracting me until Origins. And Ratchet and Clank is always there if the killing gets too much and I need to cleanse my conscience, even if it does involve more killing. But they don’t look human so it doesn’t count, your honour. Honest.
