Get that Fanta flowing, people, because it’s Friday! That means the weekend has once again rolled up and we’re waving work goodbye for a couple of days. Well, some of us are. Some of us have to work weekends. Because the world is a horrible place. That’s why.
We’ve been grafting all week long and now the Pure PlayStation team is ready to kick back with a few games, a few sweet snacks, and maybe even a cheeky beer or two. Here’s what’s going on in our lives this weekend:
PARTY! My day job is taking over on Saturday but it’s not all bad. We’re having our Christmas party after work. Is it a month late or 11 months early? At this point, I’ve no idea. All I know is that I’ll play a few rounds of Awesomenauts this evening, work my arse off all day tomorrow, drink like a sailor in the evening, and then spend Sunday hungover in front of the TV. Maybe I’ll be able to hold a controller in my hands. Maybe not. Time will tell. If I do manage to regain my motor functions after giving my liver a good kicking, I really want to get stuck into Gran Turismo Sport.
This weekend is all about Dragon Ball FighterZ. Currently my main three are Tien, Hit, and Vegeta. Sorry Lord Yamcha. Other than that I plan to beat down a friend who always thinks he’s better than me at every game, but has yet to demonstrate that since Rocket League released.
My plan is to continue with Assassin’s Creed: Origins as I have spent the majority of my time with it doing everything else but the story – the game is huge. I also plan on treating myself as I have some vouchers from Christmas burning a hole in my pocket. What I will buy is anyone’s guess, although Monster Hunter World is looking like a very strong possibility…
Apart from chanting to myself that Monster Hunter: World is better off on the store’s shelf, for now at least, I will be diving into hay bales. I mean Assassin’s Creed. Which one is anyone’s bet? Perhaps a little of Origins, Black Flag and Syndicate, just because.
I think I’ll try to carve out some room on the hard drive to reinstall Tom Clancy’s The Division to see how it plays after all of the changes they’ve made. I, like many, wanted to love it, and now maybe I will? Good or bad, I’ll probably complete a few random quests on Skyrim VR as well.
Unlike last week this weekend is looking like it will be more fruitful on the gaming front. I impulsively bought Monster Hunter, and I’d like to finish The Inpatient. I’m still deep into Assassin’s Creed Origins and will most likely take advantage of double XP in COD WWII.
And last but certainly not least…
I will be working the day job and working on a review this weekend. If I have more time, I want to get back to Nier: Automata. Finally, if I can carve out a little quiet time, I would really like to start recording and editing some audio tracks for upcoming videos. That may be a lot of dreaming on my part, but it’s a plan.
Wow, look at that. We’ve managed to get the whole crew to participate in this week’s Pure PlayStation Plays! It’s a Christmas miracle! Now go on down below and let us know what you’ll be playing over the weekend.
Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella.
