Pure Savings: Game Deals for Oct 29th – Nov 4th (NA)

Games are raining down like burning meteors at this time of year. It is tough to play everything, and there are so many great choices. Sometimes, we skip playing anything new and spend our dollars on something highly discounted. Face it – Black Friday is coming. Many new games will be discounted by $20-$30 in a couple weeks. On the other hand, our lack of funds and that backlog doesn’t build itself.

This week we have the annual gaming titan dropping and consuming all free time for one more online match. Call of Duty: WWII takes gamers back to a simpler time when we were fighting as the greatest generation. There is no discount on the game (perish the thought!), but there is a PS4 Slim model in a camouflage green that includes the game for $299.99.

Target is having a buy 2, get 1 free sale, and you can scoop up any three games to keep you busy for a while. The Target Cartwheel deal is 25% off the PSVR Core Bundle.

Watch out for their prices, and check what is included in the bundle. Target’s website shows the headset alone is $299.99, so you would have to buy the camera separately. According to this post on the Playstation Blog, the core bundle should come with the camera for $399.99, so buying the camera separately may be a better deal. If you have a Redcard, you can take an additional 5% off the price.

Best Buy wins for the highest number of titles for sale this week. Nier: Automata’s price is down to $34.99, but most games are only $10 off the normal price. If you are not using their GCU discount to lower the price even more, you will have to decide if it crosses your pricing threshold.

We are moving into a great time for sales and releases. Keep an eye out for retailers dropping the prices on other titles, even though they are not actually “on sale” in the ad. For example, Resident Evil 7 is cheaper with the gold version releasing next month.

Check out the full list of deals for this week. Did we miss something, or should we be scouring another retailer’s ad for more gaming deals? Please let us know in the comments.

Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
