After the success of last year’s Crash Bandicoot remasters we’re not really surprised to hear that Activision is planning on releasing the original Spyro trilogy on PS4. According to Kotaku, multiple sources close to the project have confirmed its existence.
Kotaku claims to have heard from multiple sources that Activision is planning to announce the Spyro Remaster Trilogy this March with a view to releasing the package later this year. While we can’t be sure of the validity of the sources, we’d say it’s a good bet. Ever since the release of Crash Bandicoot’s remastered trilogy, Spyro fans have been making their voices heard on the internet. According to the rumour the remaster will be much like Crash’s return and will feature completely new graphics and assets, all in modern HD. It’s also rumoured that some cut content will find its way into the remaster trilogy.
March is only a few weeks away, so we’ll know soon enough if Kotaku has been blowing smoke out of its arse or if its sources are worthy of praise.
