Fated: The Silent Oath has released for the PSVR today. In the Norse-themed game, you are trying to keep your family from harm as the world is destroyed. Good luck, buddy.
The game was originally conceived for VR, and it was written by Jill Murray, a writer for Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. It promises an “immersive, emotionally-charged storyline” in a “movie-length story”. We do not know for sure, but that last part may be code for the game is not very long.
Despite varying opinions on VR, we can all agree that more games are good for the fledgling medium. As you can tell, we generally like it around here. We hope Sony continues to grow and improve the concept, and we really look forward to receiving the games as part of PS Plus in the future. (Come on, Sony. Surprise us at E3.)
Fated: The Silent Oath can be purchased for $9.99/£6.99/€9.99 on the PSN store.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
