Trine 3 was a bit of a let down for some of the series most hardcore fans so developers Frozenbyte have a lot to prove with their new IP Shadwen. Shadwen has players take on the role of an experienced assassin who finds herself in charge of a little girl named Lily. This is primarily a stealth title and players have the choice between killing and knocking out the guards, although killing them will change how Lilly views you and not in a good way. Just because Frozenbyte are making a new IP doesn’t mean they’ve forgotten their roots, which means you can expect lots of physics based puzzling akin to that found in Trine. Although they’ll also be expanding their pedigree by giving players the ability to rewind time and in another cool twist time will only move when you do.
The game looks pretty cool to us so we’re glad to know we won’t have to wait too long to get our hands on it because the game is launching on PS4 (and PC, but we don’t talk about that round these parts) on May 17th. Now you’re probably thinking ‘well shucks this game looks great, but I’ve spent all my money for this month on Uncharted 4’. Well don’t worry because Shadwen will only cost you €16.99, which we think you’ll agree isn’t too bad at all. We’ve included a trailer for the game down below so you can check it out for yourself.
Conor is Pure PlayStation’s resident Irishman. Naturally that means he’s constantly slurring his words and turning up stinking of Guiness with a potato in his pocket. It’s not all bad though, because Conor is also a PlayStation nut. When he’s not doing his best Father Jack impression (Father Ted, watch it) he’s got a DualShock 4 in his hand and a Vita in the other. Yeah, we don’t know how he manages it either.
