The PS4 has been home to more than its fair share of remasters and remakes. In fact, the PS4’s early library was full of re-releases from the PS3-era with the likes of Assassin’s Creed IV, The Last of Us, and many other polished-up last-gen games.
We’ve also had full-on remakes in the form of Ratchet and Clank and the upcoming Shadow of the Colossus. There could still be more yet to come. Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida was taking part in a chat on Sony’s PlayStation Live From E3 stream when he was asked about the possibility of more remakes. His reply was that Sony is “listening to the fans to bring back whatever they tell us to consider.”
What we’ll take that to mean is that the bigger the collective voice from gamers about a certain game or franchise, the more likely it’ll be looked into by Sony. Spyro trilogy, anyone?
