Sony hasn’t been very specific with release dates for its upcoming games. Instead of solid dates we’ve had to make do with vague “2018” release windows.
It seems that it’s not as bad as we first feared, as Sony’s Shawn Layden has confirmed that all of the games that Sony showed with 2018 release dates will release in the first half of next year.
Speaking with Telegraph, Layden was question on the lack of big releases for this coming Christmas season, which he deflected very well by pointing out that GT Sport is due later this year and that we’ve already had a few big releases like Horizon: Zero Dawn. Layden also mentioned that it’s not a long wait until more big releases come, stating that “the stuff coming in 2018, all of that is coming in the first half of the year, so. Is it in the next 12-to-13 months? Most likely.”
