South Park: The Fractured But Whole was delayed in 2016 and again in early 2017, but it will finally be reaching your PS4 almost a year after the original release date. On October 17th, you will be able to go back to South Park and hang out with all your favorite characters as they embark on a superhero themed journey. Since there will be even more DC and Marvel movies by that time, maybe it will be even more relevant. Then again, do farts ever really go out of style?
Playing as the New Kid, you will meet Coon and Friends and create your own superhero identity, complete with your own costume and flatulence-powered attacks to use in a new combat system. The game will include a crafting system to make tools for your battles.
If you pre-order the game, you will receive the original South Park: The Stick of Truth, and you will receive extra content featuring everyone’s moisture conscious friend, Towlie. He will comment and give advice at certain parts in the game. We are only guessing here, but he may even decide to get high at inopportune times.
We are glad to see whatever issues preventing South Park: The Fractured But Whole from releasing earlier have been resolved, so that we can experience what we can only hope will be a gross and hilarious adventure.
Do you have a great idea for a plot or scene in the new game? Give us your ideas for what you want to see in the sequel in the comments.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
