If you still have the PSVR demo app installed on your PS4, you’ve probably noticed that there’s been an update today. That update adds a new demo, but not really.
The update adds StarBlood Arena for PSVR, though the demo is not yet accessible but will be in the near future. We imagine it’ll be made available either before the game’s full release, or shortly after.
StarBlood Arena is a first-person shooter, a little like a blend of EVE: Valkyrie and RIGS: Mechanized Combat League. You’ll be able to play single-player against A.I opponents, or you can go head-to-head with other players or play co-op.
Pre-ordering the game from the PlayStation Store will bag you the following goodies:
- The Steel Hercules skin for The Baron – “A veteran of the arena, Steel Hercules will head-lock and body-slam his way to victory! Oh yeah!”
- The El Diablo Azul skin for Buck – “This mysterious masked champion’s appetite for battle is matched only by his hunger for snacks!”
- The Granny Granny Boom Boom skin for Alice – “She’s dusted off her explosives and is out to teach the young whippersnappers a lesson – and she’s tougher than any hard-candy!”
StarBlood Arena is set to release on April 11th for PS4/PSVR. We’ll do our best to bring you a review as soon as possible.
