Steep may not have been the extreme snow sport title that Ubisoft hoped it would be. The winter game received average reviews for lack of story and repetitive gameplay. Which we kind of found out in our beta impressions. Luckily, everyone will be able to form their own opinion completely free of charge.
Starting on March 10th 6pm GMT from March 13th 6pm GMT, a free to play weekend will take effect for Steep. You’ll be able to download the game from the PlayStation Store and supposedly play to your hearts content. No word was given on what restrictions are in place. However, the latest update that includes new Alaska runs will be available. Also, if you purchase the full game at any time in this period, you’ll receive a 50% discount off the Standard edition and 44% off the Gold edition. You can view the announcement trailer above.
Have you played Steep in any form yet? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below. Otherwise do you plan on participating in the free to play weekend?
