Telltale’s Guardians of the Galaxy Episode 1 Has a Release Date

Telltale Games knows a little about storytelling, and they are certainly no strangers to the troubles of superheroes. Their newest saga, Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, will be coming to the PS4 on April 18th. Episode 1, Tangled Up in Blue, will start the five episode season with Star Lord and the gang as they discover a very powerful relic.

As usual, you will have plenty of ways to buy the game. If you prefer to own the disc, it will be available on May 5th, but you will still have to download future episodes as they release. If you are unsure about the game, you can purchase the first episode for $4.99.

We should let you know that pre-orders on the NA store currently show a 20% discount for the entire season making it $15.99. Pre-orders will also be treated to an exclusive theme that you can see here.

It is hard not to anticipate a new Telltale game, and, unlike some other Marvel movies, Guardians was more about having fun while the universe was in a downward spiral. We can appreciate that, and hopefully the games will have that same spirit of adventure while making us laugh.

If you could have Telltale Games work on any new series, what would it be? We want them to make a new series in the Starship Troopers’ universe. We would play as Johnny Rico and the setting would be right after the movie. Caspier Van Dien could reprise his role, and it would be amazing. Let us know your ideas in the comments.

Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
