Naughty Dog broke away from the trend with The Last of Us when it released some decent single player DLC, Left Behind. Rather than focussing completely on the multiplayer portion of the game, the studio gave the single-player crowd a nice little treat.
The same will be true with Naughty Dog’s latest release, Uncharted 4, though we already knew that. Sony and Naughty Dog have been vocal about the intentions to release single player download content since before the game launched, but those who’re hoping to see more anytime soon will be left disappointed.
Naughty Dog’s Arne Meyer, Director of Communications at Naughty Dog, has given us an update in regards to Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’s single player DLC. Meyer claims that Naughty Dog didn’t start work on the Uncharted 4 single player DLC until after the game released back in may and that it’ll take a while for development to shape up. As such, according to Meyer, players shouldn’t expect to see anything anytime soon, though the studio will reveal more when it’s ready to do so.
We mostly enjoyed Drake’s final outing in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, so we’re curious as to what the developer is cooking up for the upcoming expansion. The story gave a few clues; a spin-off with Sam and Sully seems plausible, as does a new adventure with a new character introduced at the end of the game.
What would you like to see in Uncharted 4’s single player DLC? More Sully? More Sam? Because you ain’t getting anymore Nate, that’s for sure.
